Hi, I will soon be stocking tilapia again, primarily oreochromis mossambicus, but I have lighting issues.
To start, I have a 36" T5HO two-bulb fixture over a 16" deep tank. I did have a Marine-Glo and a Power-Glo installed from a previous reef tank, but aesthetically, it was way too much blue light.
I just switched over to some older 10,000K bulbs that I had lying around, and the spectrum looks better, but still bluish (maybe because older/dimmer bulbs, I don't know...).
Before I drop the money on more bulbs, what recommendations do you all have? (Substrate is tan/red tones).
