Lighting! Help!

GUYS! HELP!!!!! :)

I was wondering about what lighting I can have in my tank with my polypterus senegal. When I first got him, I thought to get a MarineGLO light because of their bad eyesight and I thought a darker light would not hurt him. But Im sick of the blue! It washes all of the other fishes colors out! My pearl gouramis have lost their beauty.

SOOOOO...


My Question: Does lighting matter? Can I have another bulb that is not blue? If so, what do you suggest? And what effects does the different lighting have on the senegal.

Does lighting matter? Only if you have plants
the standard strip lights are fine just provide a shaded area so if the bichir has options of where it wants to be -Anne
