Lighting info needed

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think it depends on the K level of the light, plus the power it puts out that will determine whether or not it will work for plants...

I think anything in the 8,000K - 10,000K should be good for plants, as long as its high enough watts to reach the bottom of your tank...

It gives off 6000k what if i add a florecent light with my LED.

I would just go with t5HO you will have a much more versatile fixture since you can change the bulbs to suit your needs. Unless you are doing the LED to save money on the electric bill then it is worth a shot

6000K might work, depending on the type of plants your growing... the 10000K lights are just much whiter and brighter...
