I have a 6x3x3 340gallon an my lighting just hasn't been what ive wanted. Ive tried a few different setups an havent liked any. What lighting are you guys using on your wide an tall tanks?

I have a Buildmyled.com nature style dimmed down to about 40%on my 72x30x25 and couldn't be happier.

dimmable 3watt led work great and at $100 each are tough to beat. search 55x3watt mr120

I guess the big question is what are the lights for? Pure viewing entertainment / planted aqaurium / salt tank?

Also what lights have you tried and what didnt you like? Were they too bright / too dim? Not enough spread?

Homer mainly viewing. An nothing seems to give enough spread. I have 2 different beamswork an there great on my 75's but look like crap on my 340gallon. Nothing seems bright enough n when I get something bright enough its not spread out enough.

go with the MR120 dimmable. use 2 over 6 feet and 3 on 8. here they are on a 6'x2'tall at 60% blue 0% white, red and green
