Hi..

Wanna know how you guys position your light on the top of the aquarium? is it at the top back? top center? or top front? which one is the best and how it affect the view?

Thanks.

There's no one size fits all with this. It's just personal preference.

Personally, I have a bank of val growing along the back of my 180 so I have a 4 foot led at the back. I also have a smaller 18" led mid centre. Val's doing fine and i'm happy with the overall coverage the lights give me. No plants to worry about in my 360 so I just have a 4 foot led mid centre and i'm happy with that.

What someone else does might not look right for you, just play around, though if you have plants you obviously need to take into consideration their lighting requirements too.

I have a fully planted 180 Gallon. I have 2 36" Fluval 3.0 Lights. I raised them 2" off the tank and positioned them just forward enough to not blast light into the weir. The reason I raised the lights was to ensure coverage of the front of the tank as well as high on the back wall.
