Philips Aquarium and Plant Bulb... bought it at homedepot for about 10 dollars.

i think those bulbs listed above are full spectrum lights....which is what you want. I don't know about all, but some full spectrum lights will show a graph or give info on the amount of waves the bulb produces at each wavelength in the visible spectrum. So if you want the fish to look more red find a bulb that will produce the most red wavelength. Research online or go to the store and pick the full spec bulb that will produce the most red wavelength.

An extreme example of this is using a red filter. A red filter will block all the wavelengths except the red wavelength. This will make the object you are looking at appear red....including the water, gravel and everything else. We don't want this but if you pick a full spec bulb which produces the most red wavelength everything will appear normal in color but may help the fish look slightly more red.
I didn't research this, but based on the stuff they told me in dental school this past year this theory should work. If the human eye can actually notice a difference is another story. Let me know if this works for you. goodluck.

Try to locate a NAN or Otto light. They are specifically made for bringing out the red in fish. They are fully submersable too. They are quite pricey but well worth it for what they do for the fish
