im not sure if i should put this in the diy forum or this one sorry if its in the wrong one

im planning on building a canopy for my 75 gal reef and i have no idea how i would build the lights into the canopy this link is my exact tank and how i exactly want it to look
http://www.timbob.com/Aquarium/canopy_build.htm

i have two metal hailades i wanna build into it and i have a "jbj lighting pl-jg3" its 260wats and i have two metal halides that are 130wats ech that i wanna build into the canopy...i have a couple questions
1...i wanna no how i build the jbj into the canopy as far as taking it apart and getting into the canopy and keep the heat from bothering the wood as well as the halides they are already in a casing that protects the bulbs from shattery or something im thinking if they get too hot so i just have to some how attach them to the canopy(ill try n post some pics later)
2...i wanna no if i have to protect the wood from salt or condensation or something
3...to have the heat escape from the canopy how many fans do you suggest i build into the canopy and this might sound like a stupid question but would the fans blow into the canopy or out lol

once again im thinking this should go into the diy forum but im not sure plus i may get more responses in this forum sorry in advance if its in the wrong place

Well I could leave it in here, but I think you might get more responses in the DIY section, not to mention this could be a nice little project to share with everyone. I know of a few people who are interested in building their own hood/canopy as well with Halides, and Kory and I were just talking about this over the weekend, so this could be a cool idea-swapping thread. I'm gonna move it into DIY, and hope it gets some good hits! :)
