Lighting question

I have some hornwort and anacharis in a 20 gallon measuring 24 in in length. I have a basic hood with single tube 15w flourcent bulb. I know I need more light for the plants and was wondering if the bulb in this link would work for my plants.

It may or may not, depends on your ballast, and the housing. The 15W bulb is probably a T8, and you housing is probably the same, but some are big enough for the T12s. BTW the bulb in the link is a T12.

ok thanks for your quick reply how do I know if my ballast is big enough? also is the kelvin rating more important than the watt. Like a 20 watt 3500k t12 bulb would that work or is the wattage as important for these plants.
