ive just had a new tankl of someone i know which was used for marine fish he gave me all the equipment but i want to use it for my redtail catfish while there babies i thought the marine lights looked cool but would they hurt the catfish's eyes?

the best would be change the lights, for some freshwater lamps T5.
If not possible, try to "cover" them a little

i use actinic lights.. they have a dark blue tint and they cats are really active once i turn them on
