Lighting

I need some ideas on lighting for my 125. It will be used mostly for large cichlids. What size lights, how many, and what type of bulbs?

Do you have a canopy? If so get some shop lights from a home improvement store and save some bucks.

It is built into the wall so anything is possible

I just used T-8 6500k bulbs in some 4' shop lights that I got new for $9.99 at Menards.

I also used some 9watt puck lights for subdued lighting.


If it's all hidden then check out Home Depot, Menards, Lowes and etc. House and shop fixtures will be WAY cheaper than buying fixtures from aquarium companies.
