I've got a 10k and an actinic in my 55, and I go anubia, amazon swords, jaza moss, and crypts just fine

2nd time typing this the site lost it on me the first time.

Plants typically use light between 5700-7100K as long as they are full spectrum if not the light may not provide the correct wavelength necessay for photosynthesis. Did some searching and couldn't find anything saying if the bulb was full spectrum or not.

Full spectrum essentially means that it tries to mimic the sun and produces more than just the wavelengths of light that we see (which is green which doesn't do a whole lot), plants use light mostly in the blue and red spectrum for photosynthesis.

id stick with 6-10,000k rating. i grew my plants all under 10,000k and they did great. the color from 6k bulbs is too yellow for my tastes
