Lighting

i only turn my lights on if i wanne show the tank off to some one (maybe once a week for an hour) other than that i only use the down lights that i have in the roof of the room for lightning.
i run 2:00 pm till 10:30 pm. probably too much. but i wanna make sure my corals are getting enough light.
i just put some new lights on....sometimes ill put my actnics on at like 8 then daylights on at 10 11 in the morning then at 8 at night ill turn daylights off then 9 actnics off im guessing thats too long??
