Just curious about what type of lighting, other than the standard that comes with a tank, would be good on a 90 w cental /south am. cichlids & a few asian fish ,that will show off good colors and aid in the heath of the fish .Want to keep it simple ,and as inexpensive as poss. thanks

i had a question bout this too. I was wonderin if the light fixture makes the difference or if its the bulb? i use the light fixture that came with my tank and i use a bulb that i got at petco, but the lighting is just okay, i want great lighting. If anyone knows any solutions to get good lighting for a sa/ca tank let us know!

they make very nice standard t8 flouresent bulbs hagens poergol and aquaglo are very nice i recently upgraded to a current t5HO fixture with a 10k white and acitanic bulb man the fishes colors pop

I use a 2x32W T8 shoplight on my 75. One power-glo bulb and one 6500k daylight (costs like $7 for 2)
