I have a 36 inch fluorescent fixture on my 90 gal. The bulbs I have are too yellow. Anybody know which bulbs I could put in it to get real clean white light.
I'd buy 6,500k bulbs, especially if you have plants. You'd have to get them for a fish store because places like Jerry's and Home Depot don't normally keep track of spectrum.
As mentioned above, 10,000k lights will give you a really bright white light. I like 6000/6500k as well but they definitely have a yellowish tint in comparison to my 10000k.
10000K looks the nicest. A LFS here set up like 10 tanks with identical gravel and decorations but all with different lights and 10000K looked the best.
