I have a 60x18x24 tank with no lighting as of yet. I have literally spend my bugdet on the current set-up and need some help with a VERY cheap way of providing some light to the aquarium. I don't want a traditional light hood found on most starter tanks. Any ideas?

Shop lights.

All the mechanical plumbing is hidden behind the light structure.

I'm a fan of unconventional lighting. On our big tank we went with Simkar Reflect A Bay fixtures....not a cost savings, but it was what I wanted.

beamsworks on amazon or ebay are dirt cheap and decent quality. i was never able to grow amythimg other than algae with mine. still use 2 to light up my 210

Check out Craigslist, OfferUp, Letgo and the like. Could find a great light for pennies on the dollar of new cost
