Anyone have any experience with these 80watt t5s?
Do a search on ebay for 72'' Aquarium Light T5 HO 6 x 80 NEW Moon Lunar Reef .
I bought a fluorex 65w fixture from HD just to check it out. Checked out the lumens output and it's listed as 6825, but if you look at number for the replacement bulb it's 4500. Not sure which is correct. While T5 Ho 54w bulbs on average are about 5000 lumens. At about ~40 a pop from HD it's an ok buy I suppose. The housing interior is a base white color with no reflector. I thought about rigging maybe 3-4 of these together to suspend over my 7' tank. But am reconsidering just getting this 6' setup. I want enough lumens to support moderate plant life in a 30" deep tank.
