Hey guys,
I am getting a custom made 325 gallon aquarium made. It is going to be a Flat Back Hexigon shape with the dimensions 84"x24"x10"x64" at a height of 30". I was just wondering what kind of lighting I would need for this tank, please keep in mind I am only going to be housing fish and live rock. My LFS came back with a quote of $2000 cdn for lighting. I would like to know if there are any other alternatives that may be cheaper then $2000.

Thanks, Brenden

I don't recommend using lightning, it might kill you or your fish. LOL

Yeah ... and unreliable too! :D

You might as well just get an ordinary light fitting with a mixture of white and actinic tubes as per your preference. You don't need to get a fancy metal halide setup for a FOWLR tank. If you're getting a hood made you can just screw some of the cheap light fittings into the top and buy your own bulbs like I did..
