Recently made my own Light canopy with three 48 inch long bulbs. 2 were Nirox pink lights, one was a Resun 10000K white bulb.

Any color lights will enhance or wash out the color of your fish. If you want true natural color, fluorescent is best to go with due to a wide rage of color spectrum on the light itself. Therefore, whichever color your fish really have then that is what it shows out.
And don't get it wrong, do as what makes it the most appealing to your eyes. :D

Most lighting used over fish tanks involve fluorescent lighting of one kind or another. :D

Personally I use different lighting over different fish, depending on what I personally find most pleasing to my eyes. The lighting used in the example above is quite common in the aquarium industry, much along the lines of some of the Coralife line of lights, where they use a "Colormax" (pink toned) light mixed with either a 6700K, or a 10,000K.
Not much different than using a Hagen Powerglo/Aquaglo combo. Either light on it's own is rather harsh under most conditions, but when mixed brings out what I personally think is a fairly natural enhancing light. At least for my eyes.

The lighting combo in the last photo looks the most appealing to me.
