May I know what kind of lights is recommended for bichir and my gar?

Am using white light but i've heard blue light keep em active since they are more active at night?
Not very sure tho.

The dimmer the light...the better

All my bichirs are in planted tanks under very bright light. They are all very active, which I think is due to the dense plant cover.

diffused light, i put egg crate under my lights to help diffuse it.

Yep, dim and diffuse light is best for bichirs.
