Lights for Cichla

Any recommendations of color or combinations of T5 bulbs for my cichla tank?

Personally i like anything cool white in color but thats just me. Have you ever thought about LED floodlights? they are really cheap and make a cool shimmer effect. got some for my tank and will not ever use anything else. here is a video i found of some.

I had thought about that, but I was told that it doesnt give the cichla their full color. Other than that, Id love to do LED.

Try to use anything in the 10,000K-18,000K range for the nice white, almost crisp blue, look.

What are the specifics for those bulbs? That looks awesome! I was thinking of doing something similar.

Here is a video of my tank with 3 20W Led flood lights in cool white they were only like $45 each so really inexpensive. In the video they look brighter than in real life the camera didnt really catch the shimmer effect and turning two off and leaving one on really gets another cool effect with shady spots.
