All I'm lacking is lights for my 55 build its a Fresh Water Cichlid tank...all plants are fake I'm thinking of 4 of these

As well as 2 blue of the same...

I have split 24 inch hoods I painted the inside of the hoods flat white to increase light refraction...I plan on putting 2 20 inch white LEDs to either side and 1 20 inch blue LED in the center of each hood...Will this be enough or over kill?

Nothing I found says the type plug I'm assuming because it is from over seas much like all LEDs I have found it will come with American plug...If not I'm screwed I've already ordered them I guess I can wait and see if they are euro plugs hopefully they make an adapter or converter...and the 220 shouldn't be an issue the 3 watts is what I looked at...

The pic has a euro plug on the end of the cord. :o Let me know how it turns out when you get it in I guess.

I will I'm hoping I didn't just throw away 75 bucks...although I don't understand the 220v when it only has a 3w draw...but euro to American converters are relatively cheap...

220/240v is what we use in UK/ europe/ etc. The wattage has nothing to do with the voltage. I have 240v air pumps drawing only around 1 watt. a lot, though not all leds are low voltage and come with some kind of stepdown plug anyway so an adapter should work. worst case scenario you can find a transformer on ebay or similar. good thing is plugging it in isnt dangerous- not like plugging a 110 appliance into a 240 supply could be!

Thanx for the relieve...I was worried I had totally blown my budget...my total tank build for 300 bucks...an Adapter if necessary won't be too bad...My only question now is will they be bright enough?

If you are not looking for plant growth then they should be ok for just viewing fish. although tank brightness is down to personal taste i guess... I have 2 18 inch led strips on my 4 foot tank and the effect is quite pleasing. I will be transferring the same lights over to my 180 when it arrives in the next couple weeks and im hoping not to add additional lights and go for a more subdued light level which i think my fish will prefer. All that being said, they are cheap lights from china which could mean that they are total garbage ( not suggesting everything out of china is garbage) Only time will tell I guess.

This, i think, is the kind of thing you will be looking for. This one works both ways, but some only work one way so make sure you get the right kind lol.

You MAY be able to rig up a few of these on a regular US extension strip and plug the strip straight into the adapter. Just make sure in total you are less than what the adapter is rated for. The one in the link is rated for 100w so 3 lights at 3 watts each should be no issue (im assuming its 3 watts total, not 3 watts per led?)
