Lights o_o?

Well i havent kept an aro in a while and i bought a new one a while ago. I bought a dual bulb light and when i turn them on it seems that the aro stays to himself in the corner not moving at all until i turn them off.

Anyone have/having similar problems where the lights scare the aros ? btw the aro is around 4-5" will he grow out of it or should i keep the lights on and hope he stops being shy?

Well normally aros are preatty good with most lighting fixtures and bulbs. but I would say its probably to bright for it or since you just got it it still needs time to adjust to its new home. Give it a few days try to see if it will eat. then if he still continues to act this way I would try putting some floating plants on the surface to help reduce light and make the aro feel more secure.

put the light on for 10 -15 mins every couple of hours till your aro gets comfortable with it. once he is comfortable with the lights than you can keep it on for a longer time.

I kept the lights off for the first couple days so he would check out his new surroundings...after 2 days my lights are on roughly 6-8 hours cause i have plants and he has no problems. Sometimes he hides, sometimes it looks like hes sunbathing....he loves moonlights too, hes really active when those come on...
