Hey everyone. I want to know what I should do about when to have the T5 lights on and when to turn them off? I have my lighting connected to a timer that's set from 7am-1pm and then 4pm-8pm. I set these hours because I feed them at 7:30am before I go to work and then at about 6:30pm when I come home. Should I change my timer to just one setting or keep it with 2 settings and what would be the best times to have the lights on? I have the 2 males in a divided 180 gallon. Thanks, Ed.

I can't tell you what's best .I turn mine on in the morning to feed them, then I cut it off cause they get light from windows then I turn them back on in the evening till bed time. Save on my power bill.

That's what I do. The problem is that my tank is downstairs in the hallway and there isn't much light there during the day. What you said is exactly what I'm doing it's just the darkness in the hallway during the day that the lights are off.

Makes no difference to the fish, they'll eat even if you'd feed them in the dark.
