Lights on or off?

My trimac's just had their first spawn, mom and dad dilligantly fan the eggs takeing turns while the other tries to kill me from across the room. So should I leave the lights on over night and let them do their thing or should I just turn them off like normal?

My jags always start eating the eggs at night....by the third night there aren't any left. The first batch were fine....wigglers for a couple of days and then one day they were gone also. It has been this way for 6 spawns or so?
