what type of lighting, do i need for my indoor pond for plants to grow???

Do you just want to keep plants or force grow them for filtering purposes?

How deep is the pond?

What kind of plants?

What kind of fish?

What substrate (reflection)?

Lastly, do you have a budget?

i really only want plants so it looks abit better....not for filtering,its about 600mm deep with washed river stones in the bottom,with about 20 small koi,well and budget $40.000 was spent on building a back room for the pond.

4ft. fluorescent shop light would be the cheapest way to go.

You should be able to find them cheaper and with a reflector, this waas just for reference.

Hang it from the ceiling or make a PVC / wood stand for it and hang it about 24" from the water (adjust height to your liking just so the plants get enough light).
