Sorry can't answer the question but nice tank? Where did you get that stand? Manual self leveling ftw
I have a 30" deep tank and I use led lighting fine. I bought six par38 bulbs and two chandeliers. I then have a three foot fixture on one end. I would have gone with three chandeliers and nine bulbs but the ceiling was to low on one end. Unless you want it really bright you should be okay
If you have no plants you don't need t5s. Without plants your lights can be whatever you find ideal, they are only there for you to see the fish.

O.P. unless you are going with a canopy I really recommend the hanging led route. It looks nice enough in my dining room that the wife likes it too
