ok guys i'm lookin to get a new pleco. i've been in the hobby for a long time and can care for about anything but i just don't know much about specific species of plecos. what i'm looking for is a nice looking pleco that's reach around 18-24" in it's adult state. any suggestions? oh yeah i'd also like to keep the price range under $200. thanks in advance

What colours/patterns you like. How about some of the Pseudacanthicus sp. like L024 and L025?

It's not exotic or anything, but there is nothing wrong with a Gibby, except they grow to 18"+, but thats one of your selection criteria - so no problem ;)

Big, hardy, showy - whats not to love :D

This is my little one, getting to around 8" now.

Cheers

Ian

pattern and colors i can grow to like so it's not a big deal. i have no problem growing out. btw davo i love this guy http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/image.php?image_id=2178
how hard are they to find? and how do i make sure i'm getting an L025 and not an L024? also how much do they usually go for for a juvi? and i saw they are carnivores, will they be ok with my fish?

L025 are not too hard to come by, and can be found in several of our vendors sections. They will be fine with most tank mates as well.
