Lil Indo Tiger Datnoid Feeding/Non Feeding Aggression

Hello is it normal for my 1" indonesian tiger datnoid to try to ram and sometimes try to nip the fins or sides of my feeding cichlids when some of them got some pieces of lil raw shrimp in them? I ask because my lil guy is always ramming and nipping (no rip fins due to what I think is no teeth?) the sides of all of my larger cichlids....he even tried to take the shrimp out of the mouth of my large male umbee and wild caught male dovii's! which is like :screwy: The cichlids don't mind him being in the tank with them all as he doesn't really get in the way unless he chases some piece of shrimp rolling down into one of my cichlids territory where my cichlids will chase him out of the way...Any opinions of young indo datnoids being aggressive during feeding and when done with feeding? :)
 
Mine are quite the opposite. They kinda wait for food to fall where they can get it. They never try to take anyone else's food.

lol mines goes crazy against the other cichlids when they caught a piece of shrimp in their mouth then the indo dat will try to get they piece of shrimp out of the the mouth of the larger cichlids like my male umbee and or one of the male dovii's by ramming then or nip in the side or what they mostly do is go up to the mouth of the cichlids very fast and try to steal it :ROFL:

I wish mine were more like that.:irked: The fish they are with aren't even aggressive...at least not yet.:) Watch out, when he gets older he's gonna be king!!!:naughty:
 
AWWWW!!!! my lil young tiger datnoid just died! =[ man i only had it for a few days....and he was eating alot and had a perfect body form and had a stable appearance all the time....but i found him on the waterline floating about with its fins ripped and one of its eyes eaten away! /='0 this stinks...i might have been any of the cichlids with it...but they neer chased it around or anything...they all just let him go around the tank without hesitation =[ well this is just to let you guys know about the tragedy that had to happen on a happy Friday
 
sounds like he was killed, by one of the cichlids...

sorry for the loss :(

yea...thanks :( still sad about losing him...he was already hand feeding at that small size and was always stable! :irked: darn cichlids...it might have either been the convict pair or 1 of the 2 wild male dovii's
