I'm new to plants and lillies but I took 3 stalks of lily pads in from the pond and put it into a 29 gallon tank with some gravel and 'water change' fish water. All but 1 of the initial pads died, and the last is dying, after a week but in their place I have at least 3/2 pads of what I did in like a two weeks after bringing them inside. They're smaller pads, but way more abundant. I expected to maintain the lilies, but not for them to explode in growth. Any ideas why they're doing so well? Is it all the nutrients that is in the fish water? For the first week I had a weak hood light over and have since replaced it after I saw the growth. Any ideas would be great, I would like to reproduce these result if possible
Top image: Week two has the old pads, all of which have died or is (1) dying, Week 3 has all new pads except the 3
Side image: Full tank-3 root: you can see in week 2 the far right plant has only 1 new pad. Week 3 it has 2 pads, one that hasnt grown much, and one that exploded in growth
Side image 2: Where most of the growing is happening. You can see the pads have opened up and new shoot appearing in the left most plant, while the middle plant is growing slow but also having a new leaf
