lima bit off more then he can chew

i fed a chunk of shrimp to my lima this morn. he swallowed it and its now lodged in his throat is there nething i can do? his mouth is like open and stuff

maybe if u scare him a bit he will spit it out...failing that there is really nothing u can do. unless u wana catch him out of the water and take it out with pliers. thats wat i had to do last time wen my RTC ate a pleco which stabbed his stomach

post pics if you can, but if it's trapped and not just half in his stomach it could be a problem. If it's just too big for him to swallow it all at once he may end up swallowing the rest of it after he digests the first half.
