Every time my lima eats something he like freaks out and starts moving weird then all of a sudden he will like throw up or **** out i dont know what one. this nasty like floating why gew.. the best i could explaine it would be like

white/clear ( about 1-3 of them)
floats in the current
stretchy brakes apart if u touch it
almost looks like if snot kind of.. i think he throws it up than eats it again but half the time i dont know what the hell it is and its kinda nasty im about to take him back to the fish store cuz its growdy as hell :irked:

also sence i posted this might as well ask how well do Gt's get along with outher fish i heared they are agressive

IDK but I would get him out ASAP! It sounds like he is pooping out a parasite or something. I would treat the tank with some salt. Good luck with it. Don't take him back because he will just die there. You have a chance of saving it.

Chad

Its nasty as hell my 10 gallon tank is treating my bros bass right now so i cant put the lima in there it will get eaten up in a heart beat......................
it dosent look like a parasite looks more like if you would put a tiny peice of plastic in the water i gues... ill take the bass out tomorrow considering thats tank day and we do w/c clean the tanks.. ill clean out my media and filter change the water and add some salt to it.. and have the lima go into the 10 gallon while the bass goes into my bros pond

DONT FREAK ITS TOTALLY NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! its just sluffing its slime coat, mine did it prob every other day its NORMAL dont take the fish out leave him its fine.

Pheww scared me :( lmao.. when will he stop doing this? or will he not

mine did it prob every 3 days of so. often during feeding too.

both of mine do it once a week or so often after feeding on a large meal. I think when they eat a large meal it breaks the slime coat and off it comes and they eat it to kinda recycle it. Mine actually fight over the slime coat when it comes off.

I have had mine for about 3 weeks now, and it does the same thing. Sometimes he eats it, other times he doesnt. I read about it, so I never worried.

heh i feel much better now :)

i think my arowanas growing really fast cuz i got him like 2-3 weeks ago and hes like 2" bigger now

Its just body mucas they wear off. They make that funny movement when they are ridding themselves of it, and i don't know about yours but then mine eats it lol.

Carl.
