i just picked up a Lima and i was wondering how fast do they grow and what is the best choice of food to feed it

The growth rate for a lima is all that fast. They actually grow slow. As for food. you can feed them stinking pellets worms, live fish (not reccomended), or any protein food after all they are catfish they will eat most foods that you give them.

I have two, one grew from 2.5" to nearly 15" in a year, and the other grew from 3" to 11" in a year and two months. It really varies, and anyone who has owned multiple limas will tell you that. I wouldn't say slow growth, but slower than rtc or tsn definitely. They eat a lot at a large size.
