hi guys this is my first post on here please in need of big help my limas are gettin badly fin nipped and my lfs are not comin up with answers in my tank are ghost knife /2 siamese tiger fish / salvini / oscar / four line pims / pictus / redhump geo / gold severum /common plec /and my 2 shovelnose /and a pike cichlid / if anyone has any idea of who is beating up my limas would be very happy many thanks

My best bet would be the Severum or the Pike cichild cause cichilds are ussually the culprit of biting tails. I also have a Lima Shovel Nose and my culprits are either a cichild or a Tinfoil Barb.

What's the size of the tank? Size of the inhabitants? The more info the better. Got any pics?

severums usually tend to be more docile cichlids, or at least mine are complete wimps, as i have kept mine with angels, tetras, and all my small shovelnose have been raised with them without problems, so i would say it's one of the more agressive cichlids of the tank such as the pike or salvini

I had a 4-lined pim that killed a fish twice its size, so watch out for those, too.

I'm going to put my bet on the pike and/or salvini as well. Both are known to have quite an attitude.
