Lima ShovelNose

Hey everyone,
I have a few question about a Lima Shovel Nose Catfish and could they be housed with a gar and bichir. I know about the sizes thing too.

1. How big do they get max?
2. Is a 75g good for life?
3. what the average price for them in Canada?

75 is pretty small, they get about 18" but there catfish so they have kind of a high bioload, i would say a 150 5x2x2 would be optimum for them.

it's still a good choice to go with your tankmates though. if i decide to get a catfish in my tank it would be what i would choose.

Im going to put in 2 filters I know all of these fish have big bioloads. One apuaclear and a maze like filter thing I forget how many gallons per hour it filters

thnx but he passed away 1 month ago
raised him from 3" to 11"
didn't know reason he died =(
but the lfs offered me a discount for the next ornate I buy from them =P

they can be housed in a 75 for a pretty long time but they will be crowded at some point. it also depends on what kind of gar u have.

No fish of any kind that grows over 12" should be tortured in a 75... Go atleast a 4x2x2
