Why does my Lima like to stay vertical on the back wall of the tank? I hardly ever see him on the bottom unless it is to get food. Doesn't bother me to much, but it is hard to see him with the black bg sometimes. Anyone know why they do this?

They are an ambush predator. In the wild they hover vertically along plants or wood waiting for food to swim past.

That is their hunting slash hiding style. They swim verticle in the reed grass in the wild. Note when they are verticle their pattern makes them look like grass or twigs. They sway verticle like that to stealthly hunt. Don't worry they all do it to some extent or another

my TSN catfish do it too. its pretty entertaining to watch. not surprisingly my RTC tried but failed. they r too fat to pull such a slender posture

perfectly normal
