I'm sure Oddball will be all over this so "Oddball" Please Help!

I know that limestone has a hight calcium level, is it a good source for baserock in a reef set up?

should be, but you might see little "flakes" or "power" wisp off of your rocks when a fish goes by them but other than that, if it's clean it's good.

I used block limestone when I had my SW tanks running. I kept a ratio of roughly 50:50 of limestone to quarried base coral for my live rock to seed and spread. Other than some limestone dust joining the substrate of coral sand, the limestone made for an inexpensive base to keep my polyps and gorgonians close to the lights.

I use the limestone as a base rock and it's doing fine. I just made sure that I cleaned it thoroughly before placing it into my aquarium.

Any pics of the limestone baserock in a tank? I'm going to be setting up my new 125 soon. Thinking about using limestone screening for the substrate and limestone blocks for some of the base rock.

got no pics, but your best bet is to make them very irregular shapes and sizes and remember there are never any straight lines in nature.
the holey stuff in the picture up top is good filler rock to place behind any live rock cause of it's surface area and little caves for smaller fish to hide in.

i would put that piece more twards the front its a nice lookin show piece
