My 1.1 lines leaf tails arrived on saturday. I picked them up at the airport and much to my surprise there ended up being 1.2 in the box.

I have read a lot of conflicting information on which temps to keep them in and what their main diet should be.

Last night they ate some and early this morning they all ate some CGD from a spoon. And I have seen all 3 of them drinking from droplets.

So who has kept them and wants to offer up some tips?

Pics to come soon. I did not want to stess them to much the first few days.

They're kind of like Cresteds in a way as they don't like really high temps. From what I've read the high 70's to low 80's is good for the day time and at night the temp can fall to the low 70's to high 60's.

anything over 80 is a death sentence for them low 70's is usually ideal and for food mainly bugs with occasional cgd

look for a man by the name of neil meister on the internet and email him, hes one of the best uroplatus people around

I've kept them in the mid 80's with no issues.......

As fresh Imports, they should be kept between 70-80.......

I've even kept most of the larger Leaftails outside for extended periods of time and never had any issues......It comes down to acquiring healthy animals in the first place, which most don't do......

Thank you.

Looks like I will track him down and see what he has to say.

Mine seem to be eating very well. They drink every time I spray them and have a been very active at night.

They have eaten cricket, waxworms and a wee bit of the cgd. I actually spoon fed them the cgd to see if the would eat it and they went at it eagerly.

I hope to get pics soon I just hate to stress them any more than I have to.

sounds great, Im hoping on getting some lineatus from him soon and maybe some guntheri in them fall
he may be slow getting back at you as he is usually busy but he is worth the wait with his knowledge
