liner and tape

How reliable is say piecing together pond liner with liner tape? I have some left over liner and would rather cut to size and tape the seams together vs having to buy a 8x10 piece of liner.

It can be reliable if done correctly, but will never be as good as a full piece.

if you do it like we do for roofing you'll be good. clean it good, prime, then tape and roll it together.
