My tank had sprung a leak from an overflow hose, and i didnt catch it for a week. The carpet was soaked, landed up pulling it up and ripping it out. No fun draining a 200gallon. The bottom of the stand is all shot, i have to rebuild it now.

I want to put in some type of liner to prevent this in the future. What can i line the inside of my stand with to catch water? i was thinking a shower pan liner, but i only see them at a max of 72" my stand is 96" long. Will probably add some type of water alarm also.

pond liner?

Shower curtains/heavy duty garbage bags should hold well if your looking for a cheaper option. Best of luck!

I want something that is going to last, cost is really not important, as im already spending quite abit to redo the flooring. Hate for it to leak again, and the hastle of draining and moving this beast.
