What are some foods i can feed a lionfish? would I be able to feed it massivore delite? any help is much appreciated

yeah i think so

youll have to wean it though most of the ones in stores are on rosies or comets

What type of lionfish? If it's a volitan they are pretty easy to wean. I feed mine silversides, shrimp, formula 1, special formula vhp...basically anything meaty and high in protein.

definately go for pelleted foods designated for SW fish, other than that the local seafood section at any grocery store offers things like squid, hrimp, fish (like raw sardines), etc.. that all make really good foods

I don't like to use pellets for my fish.... depending on the size of the lionfish, if it eats live fish....depending on the size I would range my food from mysis, krill, chopped up squid tentacles, even up to pieces of herring and salmon although those are very fatty.

well it's all what he decides to eat my lionfish will not eat anything ut silversides no pellets or shrimp besides the other damsel that's all so good luck with getting him of pellets

NLS pellets is one of my favorite foods. Unfortunately my lion won't touch them. You can, however, stuff one or two in the mouth of a big silverside.

good idea. Also i would use this methood if trying to get a lion on pellets.

Feed live crickets then sneak some pellets in there. Make sure he is really hungry and he might mistake the cricket for a pellet, and slowly he will begin to swallow.
