It's sad in a way.. in another way I look at it as evolution.. man helped evolution.. but we live in a changing world as it is..

I think the Nile Perch introduction was way worse btw.
 
Wow they have some serious range now...they are up here (northeast usa) summer-mid fall.
 
i doubt that private aquariums are to blame, they're just the scape goat. i think it was more likely ballast water containing the fry.
 
This is old news. They started showing up around the late 80's and early 90's. Now you can catch countless numbers of them as far north as Boston. I catch well over a 100 a season.
