I was gone for the weekend, and had a friend house-sit for me.
Well, aparently the AC had broken during this time and my apartment got unusually warm.
My corals and everything else are looking OK, but my big lionfish's fins are very red, and look like they're starting to disintegrate. The rays themselves on his big fluffy fins look like the fleshy part has been slowly peeled/melted away.
I've taken him out of the main tank, and currently have him quarantined. I haven't started any treatment regime, partly because I don't have anything, and partly because I don't know what i should use. I've had a freshwater fantail goldfish with almost an identical condition once (after a heat wave in the summer years ago) and used melafix to treat it and he made a full recovery. Would this work for the lionfish? Any help greatly appreciated.
