Hi, I was offered this snake for 65 pesos (17 dolars). I was wondering if its a good deal, and if its a good begineer snake.

Heres a picture of it.

Thanks, look forward to your replys. Also, sorry if its a noob question, I am a huge one when it comes to snakes.

Im having a hell of a time finding a page on it that I dont have to translate and even when it does I cant figure out the common name to compare it to anything.Do you happen to know the common name, I mean I can find all kinds of info on them, just not that for some reason, to me though any snake is worth 17 bucks even if it bit my face off but ass far as a beginner snake let me read some more on it,google it and hit translate in the mean time.

hey man that snake has amazing coloration and 17 bucks yes go for it im sorry i can talk spanish but cannot spell

Thanks. Yeah that website was the only one i found. The only other info i have is that it doesn't grow more than a meter and a half, that it eats fish, rodents, and amphibians. That he needs some water in his terraterium.
He replied to my questions last night and according to him its a good beggineer snake.

It is a good price. And from what i've seen its not that common, so that gives it a little extra spice to it.
According to wikipedia, another common name for these would be water snake. Also, the liophis snakes need a lot of water. A site in portugues recommened 1/3 of the tank with water. How can i set up a terraterium so that it has 1/3 water but yet the snake has space to move around outside of the water? Also, for a one meter snake, what size tank does she need?

Thanks a lot. This would be my first snake so I want to clear all my doubts before buying it.
