It works, but not as well as if you used a co2 diffuser

^ Yup... completely agree with archers, it definitely does work, but for more demanding plants that require Co2 such as Baby Dwarf Tears / HC, you will still need to add pressurized Co2, otherwise it just won't work...

If you have shrimp or sensitive fish that stuff will kill them over night. But it is really great stuff for just planted tanks or planted tanks with hardier fish.

whats your experience with excell? I know several people dosing excell with shrimp and havent had an issue.

Seachem flourish is a watered down version of glutaraldehyde. This is a quote from Wikipedia's site on this stuff.

"Glutaraldehyde is an organic compound with the formula CH2(CH2CHO)2. A pungent colorless oily liquid, glutaraldehyde is used to disinfect medical and dental equipment. It is also used for industrial water treatment and as a preservative."

If I were you I wouldn't put that in my tank even in the smallest doses.
