Liquid Rubber Legit and Good ?

Ok MFK i've been wanting to build a tank at least 350g. Been going threw a bunch of different types of DIY tanks glass, acrylic, ply.. Ply seems to be the most cost efficient but i hated the idea of having to use epoxy and fiberglass. BUT why hasn't anyone used this liquid rubber stuff? Does it work, and is it legit.. Uaru Joey seems to think so. Anyone else recommend and approve this stuff???

Seems to easy,cheap, and good to be true.... Appreciate the help in advance ;)

Ok mods you can delete this LOL sry I didn't do the best research b4 posting this thread... mfk has shown in plently of builds this stuff is legit..

Pond Shield from Pond Armor is neither a fiberglass, polyester, or liquid rubber type product. It's 100% solids, two-part epoxy resin. So two parts of mixed up and then applied thin. Liquid Rubber is a thick, single-part product that is applied relatively thick.

Urara Joey has used both Pond Shield and one of the liquid rubber products and after his most recent build says he prefers Pond Shield (I think).

There have been failures with both Pond Shield and liquid rubber. I tend to think it's more user error than anything else.
 
Im thinking of doing fiber resin for the all the corners and meeting spots and also the front panel for good seal on glass then the rest many coats of LR
 
I would personally have to recommend doing all the seams with fiberglass resin and than using pond armor, it is a much better product than liquid rubber

Yea after further research it seems pond armor (pond shield) is the way i might consider going. Is the ply easily water proofed after a few coats? And how easy is this stuff to work with, is it just painted on in layers like the liquid rubber?

Also after a little sanding silicon binds well right?

I just want something easy to mix and paint on that will FOR SURE seal the ply, and something that the glass window will easily seal too. And of course something cost efficient as well. I will over reinforce the tank itself so its only ease of seal and piece of mind that it is sealed that im worried about.
