Lets list all known non-gar fish that resembles true gars or have gar in their common name
These are the ones I know

gar characin, rocket gar, hujeta gar:

Needle nose gar:
Xenentodon cancila

marbled gar, spotted pike characin, maculata characin:
Boulengerella maculata
