List of Fish Clubs - One in Your Area?

I ran across this list of Aquarium Societies in the US, Canada and around the world. Seems pretty comprehensive...

There are four of them in my state. I can choose from the Connecticut Area Reef Society(I don't have SW tanks), Danbury Area Aquarium Society, New England Cichlid Association and the Norwalk Aquarium Society. The Danbury Area Aquarium Society is actually having an auction today. I've been to the New England Cichlid Association auctions twice now. They are pretty neat.

I believe there is also another one called the free water aquarium society.

Guess I'm lucky, we have the Medina County Aquarium Society, the Ohio Cichlid Association, the Greater Akron Aquarium Society and the Cleveland Aquarium Society. I'm a member of the first three and hope to join the last one soon.

I agree that attending the local clubs is a fabulous way to meet other fish keepers and share the knowledge and there are meeting auctions and semiannual auctions. A great way to get fish locally at great prices and find local fish stores that other members recommend.
