List of genuses that convicts can hybridize with?

I have a little SB male and he's getting old enough to spawn. Lately I've grown a little tired of fishkeeping and need to dabble in the black arts a little. What kind of aberration, atrocity and unnatural freak can I create with this mutant fish? Not looking at parrots, looking into something blue or sparkly. Can convict cross with texas?

Definitely would cross with texas and JD, and both fit the bill of "blue and sparkly". Green Texas (aka H. carpintis) would be another good one.

maybe a list they wont hybridize with is probably an easier choice as they seem to not have a preference

Yes, Convicts will hybridize with most CA species. If you're looking for something with color, I agree that H. carpintis would be a fine choice.

Might want to post this over in the Hybrids section. Many of the members in this forum aren't into the whole hybrid scene.
