No I'm not doing anything illegal. ;)

I recently discovered there's an iPhone app that let's you listen to live feeds of police scanners in towns across the US! It's called 5-0 radio and it's free. And I have to say, its my new favorite form of entertainment!

Last night I was listening to officers responding to a guy on a bad trip rolling around in the mud, and also some dude choked his wife out over an argument about the superbowl! Pretty epic nonsense up here in the NW.

Am I the only one? This will happily replace the horrible radio stations I have to listen to in my car.

Spiderman wannabe.

Get bitten by a radio-active fish and buy a fish costume and become Fishman

lol, I used to have a police scanner in my house. Best form of entertainment outside of Pay Per View! It's amazing some of the kooky calls our Officers have to go to.

I didn't realize there's an ap...I'll have to look for it!

A friend of mine used to listen to his a few years ago.He was a truckdriver with cb radio in the truck so he was really into listening to the scanner at home....As far as aps go,I have the Sprint knockoff iphone the Envy, so I will have to check and see if the ap is availible for it.

When I used to drag race, legally, ahem...I would bring a scanner.
I still have a scanner now and an android app.
Interesting stuff here in Chicago!

I listened to it during the massive blizzard of last week, I hear things as they happened, and not what the news wanted to tell me an hour later, ha.
Have fun

"Scanner Radio" is another good app for iphone/android. Haven't heard of the other one, have to check it out.

IT'S TRUE!! clockwork was a my place for the SB and we were listening to the run down of the guy who choked his wife.. It was pretty entertaining, I'll give you that, but I feel bad for the wife... :(

Friday and Saturday nights are when it really gets good.

It is also intresting to see the discrepancies between what really happens and how it gets reported. Sometimes alot more is revealed on the scanner.

Things aren't like they used to be, they switch to cell phones and other media channels to keep things on the down low now.

Not only is it entertaining, but a great way to stay informed.
