I purchased three azuls this week. One looked to have a cancer spot and was given to me to make four.
I lost one to fighting but the freebie is still going. but the cancer bump looks more like a boil or somthing.
wondering if i need to lance it or not. I will get some pictures uploaded in a few minutes.

This is now. It looks like built up fluid. I just dont know of its common and will disipate on ots own.

Not sure what that is...that sucks! Id add aquarium salt at half dose(i always use half or less), and start w/ wc's 2-3x a week.

If you buy "aquarium salt", not salt for salt water tanks, it will have the instructions of use on it. Also there is info in the disease section of MFK.

Normal dose for freshwater tonic is 1 heaping tablespoon (TBSP, the big one!) of aquarium for every 5 gallons.

A half dose would be 1 heaping tablespoon for every 10 gallons.

So 180 gallons/1 TBSP for every 10 gallons equals 18 TBSP -- make sure to mix it into some of the tank's water first in a bucket so the salt crystals don't burn anyone. They will try to eat them as they fall through the water!

PS: If you get sick of scooping, 1 cup (DRY measure like what you'd use for flour, don't use a liquid measuring cup) is the same as 16 TBSP, so you would use 1 heaping cup and and 2 heaping tablespoons for 180 gallons.
